Richard Phelps was also at the meeting but he took the picture and none of us thought of taking a photo with all three of us.


June 30, 2020: My Islay Scotch collection.

I was searching to see if I could find any videos about Islay, Scotland, and found the video "Whisky - The Islay Edition: A documentary special about the magic of the golden liquid called whisky and the small island off the coast of Scotland which has been called "the Capital of Whisky." The Scottish island of Islay is the home of eight world famous whisky distilleries. Whisky consists mainly of peat, water, barley and most importantly, it is made by people. All of these ingredients are found on the island of Islay."

Barbara and I took a 4 Day Scotch Whiskey Tour of Islay in August 2019 that did a tour and tasting at all of the Islay distilleries. During the video we took a taste of each Scotch featured, some of which we had brought back with us from our tour of Islay. The Islay Scotch Whiskies above in alphabetical order are: Ardbeg, Askaig, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Kilchoman, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, McClelland's, Peat Reekers, and Port Charlotte.
