New Sofa & Hassocks For Our Anaheim Bonus Room

The first photos shows the new sofa on our fairly new wood floor in the Anaheim House Bonus Room. The second photo shows the new sofa with the added rug and hassocks. The tops of the hassocks can be flipped with a serving tray on one side and a soft cushion on the other side. The last above photo shows how the queen bed and cabinets currently appear in the Anaheim Bonus Room. This will soon be replaced by a "wall bed" (like a Murphey Bed) that will provide for a lot more space in the Bonus Room when the bed is not in use.

The Twisted Vine features new wine flights, one red and one white, each week starting on Thursday. Both Tom and I ordered the Red Wine Flight which is described below. We both thought the Pinot Noir was mediocre. The Clesi Sangiovese blend was quite good. Tom liked the Big Basin Syrah more than I did, but I still thought it was good.

I ordered the new Mediterranean Flatbread (Roasted tomatoes and red pepper, sliced red onion, olives, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, oregano, and a red wine vinegar, $12) for the table and the new Spicy Pasta Rosa (Cavatappi Pasta, grilled chicken, roasted tomatoes, spinach, and a spicy rosa sauce, $15) for my lunch. Both were excellent.

2019 Tree Fort - Pinot Noir | Arroyo Seco, CA: An earthy garnet hue complements aromas of fruit leather, tobacco, dried cranberries and baking spices. The palate is filled with flavors of vanilla and baking spices accompanied by a dry mouthfeel.

2018 Clesi - "Son of Son" | Paso Robles, CA: Deeply influenced by his Sicilian heritage, Chris Ferrara creates Italian varietals that are old world, iconic, and elegant. 63% Sangiovese, 28% Aglianico and 9% Barbera.

2017 Big Basin - Syrah | Santa Cruz Mountains, CA: Has a pretty nose with aromas of fresh violets and lilacs, crushed blueberries, olive, baked black cherries, and a lacy veil of sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, it's wonderfully restrained and concentrated with a chewy frame and long, fresh finish.
